July Wrap Up

July flew by for us. Is it bad that my Facebook habit takes so much of my computer time that our blog suffers? Chris and I went on a couple of dates this month. One up in The Woodlands to a Chicago concert (a last minute treat from Nonna and Pops) and one celebrating our neighbor's 50th birthday. We continue to work out a the YMCA and we've both been losing weight - yay! We bought a couple of new things for the house. A La-Z-Boy sectional with lots of reclining seats.

And a golf cart...

While most people understand the usefulness of the sectional, they may not understand the usefulness of a golf cart since we don't live on a golf course. Well, Chris is hoping to start a trend in our neighborhood to make it a golf cart community. We use it to go to the neighborhood pool and to drive to the neighbor's house on the next street. He also plans on putting less aggressive tires on it and taking it with him when he plays golf.

Killian had zoo camp the last week of July. Most days it was a day camp, but he got to spend the night at the zoo on Thursday night. The task for the week was to come up with a animal he and his partner would like to bring to the zoo. They researched their animal, an African Penguin, and designed an exhibit for it - made blueprints, posters and an example display with animal facts. On Friday parents could come for their final presentations. It was pouring down rain. Here are Killian and his penguin keeping dry under a poncho.

I had a check up with my OB/Gyn, Dr. Klein, so I took a picture of him and Kiera. I didn't think to take a picture of him when he delivered Kiera - I was too excited and tired.

And finally, a random, cute, toothless smile from Kiera.
