May Update

I'm not quite sure where May went! Kiera turned 3 months old on Cinco de Mayo. Here is a picture of her in an outfit crocheted by Barb's mother, Kiera's Great Grandma Lewis.

Mother's Day was extra special for me this year of course. Chris made me breakfast and gave me a sweet card, book and CD. We invited Chris' family over for lunch. Here is Chris with his mom and our nephew Jordan.

Last weekend we had our first sleepover with Kiera at Nonna and Pops' house. Kiera did very well. The next morning I propped her up in one of their recliners. She looked so relaxed and happy, I had to snap a couple of pictures! The guys went to play golf (Killian got to drive the cart) and the girls headed to Kara's house for pictures of Kiera at 3.5 months.

Killian also mowed the yard for the first time. Chris is teaching him...

Kiera has been enjoying watching the fish in our tank. I thought this picture was cute.

Other things we did this month:

- The 4 of us went to the Art Car Parade downtown

- Chris, Kiera and I took Max to the new dog park. He loved it.

- Kiera and I went on a few more play dates, took lots of walks and went to the library for story time.

- Chris took a 3 night trip to Austin for a conference. We missed him. Chris and I think Kiera is really lucky to have both parents home so much during the day.

- I've reluctantly started looking at day cares for my return to work when Kiera is 6 months old.

Kiera's milestones:

- she started laughing early in May, it is too cute.

- Chris scolded Max and Kiera got very upset by his "mean" voice

- in mid May I started sitting Kiera in her Bumbo. She can't hold her head up for too long, but she's getting better

- on May 20th Kiera rolled from her back to her side for the first time. She also turned on the music on her bouncer on by herself.

Small world story: Chris went to get his haircut earlier this week. He goes to a place where he gets a different hairdresser each time. He told her had a new baby girl. She said she did too. She asked him what day Kiera was born. He told her February 5th. She said that was her baby's birthday too. Then he looked at her and said, "you were in our room!" Ended up she was Hannah, the mom I shared a hospital room with postpartum! So then they showed each other pictures of Brooklyn and Kiera!
